Executive Chairman
Mr. Venukumar
A business leader with more than 30 years of experience and a lifelong connection with sports.
Mr. Venukumar has built a diverse career across business management, sales and marketing, logistics, corporate training and international sports, with a particular passion and experience in cricket. He is also a member of the Old Putera Association, reflecting his enduring connection with the community and shared values.
His professional career began with Cathay Pacific Airways in Penang, followed by senior management positions in airfreight, warehousing, sea freight, logistics, property management, retail, aquaculture consulting, events, banking and telecommunications.
Over the years, he has served as a CEO, Managing Director, Group Sales & Marketing Director and Sales & Marketing Director, leading teams, developing businesses and managing clients and projects across different industries.
His sporting journey includes significant involvement in international cricket. He served as Liaison Officer in Charge for the Australian Women’s Cricket Team tour to Malaysia in 2008/2009 and the England Women’s Cricket Team tour in 2009/2010, supporting international teams during their Malaysian tours.
He later served as a Cricket Umpire with the Malaysian Cricket Association, giving him practical experience not only in sports event coordination but also in the technical and operational side of cricket.
In 2026, he founded Bayu Sports Holding with a vision to develop and manage premier clubhouses, sports facilities and integrated sports and lifestyle destinations.
As Executive Chairman, Mr. Venukumar leads the group’s strategic direction, bringing together his experience in business, management, sports, events, leadership and marketing.
His vision is simple: to build professionally managed sports destinations that bring people together through sport, recreation, hospitality, wellness and community.
With a career built across business and sport, Mr. Venukumar brings a practical understanding of what it takes to develop, manage and grow successful sports-related ventures.

Normah Shaari
Strategic Leadership | Business Development | Project & Growth Management
Normah Shaari has over 28 years of experience in management, strategic planning, business transformation, and project development across multinational corporations (MNCs) and government-linked companies (GLCs). Her diverse professional background spans commercial banking and telecommunications, complemented by her previous experience as an academician. This breadth of experience has equipped her with a well-rounded perspective on business strategy, organizational development, and transformational leadership.
Her career has focused on turning business ideas into structured opportunities through strategic planning, feasibility studies, project evaluation, governance and team leadership.
She has worked with technical teams and consultants on complex and high-value initiatives, including feasibility studies for Technology Parks, project audits and major development programmed.
Normah also brings valuable international experience through G2G and B2G initiatives giving her strong exposure to international business development, stakeholders engagement and strategic partnerships.
At Bayu Sports Holding, Normah leads the company’s business strategy, project development, feasibility evaluation, partnerships and execution.
She works closely with the Executive Chairman and management team to ensure that Bayu Sports Holding’s sports, clubhouse and lifestyle developments are supported by strong planning, commercially sound decisions and disciplined execution.
With her combination of strategic leadership, project experience, commercial understanding and international exposure, Normah plays a key role in taking Bayu Sports Holding from vision to execution.

Devan Balasubramanian
Devan brings expertise in project management, technology and operational improvement, with experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering digital solutions that enhance efficiency and organisational performance.
As a Project Manager and Software Engineer, he has successfully managed IT projects, streamlined operational workflows and developed systems that strengthen reporting, coordination and resource management. He holds a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering with Multimedia from Limkokwing University.
Beyond his professional expertise, Devan has a strong passion for cricket, supported by his knowledge of the sport and hands-on playing experience in district- and state-level tournaments. His involvement in competitive cricket has provided him with a practical understanding of the game, including its technical aspects, team dynamics, match strategies and the discipline required to perform in competitive environments. Through these experiences, he has developed a deep appreciation for teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership and the importance of continuous improvement both on and off the field.
His combination of sporting experience, technical knowledge and management capabilities enables him to approach sports-related operations with a balanced perspective, understanding both the expectations of players and the operational requirements of sporting facilities. His passion for cricket further strengthens his commitment to supporting the development of a positive sporting environment and delivering quality experiences for members and players.
At Bayu Sports Holding, Devan oversees clubhouse operations, focusing on operational efficiency, service excellence, team coordination and performance management. By combining his technical expertise, operational leadership and enthusiasm for sports, he contributes to enhancing the overall member experience, strengthening clubhouse operations and supporting the Group’s long-term growth and development.

Kavita N. Subramaniam
Kavita brings more than 25 years of management, consulting and leadership experience, across Malaysia and international markets. Her legal and management education complements her extensive experience in business strategy, corporate governance, sustainability and organizational leadership.
Throughout her career, she has worked with government agencies, multinational companies and organisations across aviation, infrastructure, construction, agriculture, financial services, technology and other sectors.
She has held senior positions including Country Manager, Program Director, Director and Senior Consultant, leading major business transformation, strategy, governance and project programmes. Her experience includes managing cross-border projects, building strategic partnerships, working with senior executives and coordinating complex multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Kavita has also worked extensively in leadership development, executive facilitation and workforce capability building, delivering programmes across Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, USA and Europe.
At Bayu Sports Holding, she works closely with the Executive Chairman to drive the company’s business strategy, project development, partnerships and day-to-day management.
Her focus is on bringing structure and professional management to the group’s growing portfolio of sports facilities, premier clubhouses, hospitality and lifestyle developments.

Head Human Capital
Mohamed Zambri Jailani Bin Mohammed
With over 30 years of experience in human resources and a background in law, Mohamed Zambri brings extensive expertise in people management, workforce development and organizational leadership.
His career spans diverse industries, including Oil & Gas, with strengths in human capital strategy, talent management, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, cost management and regulatory compliance.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the HR profession, he received the Asia HRD Congress Award for Outstanding Contribution to Human Resources in Malaysia in 2011.
At Bayu Sports Holding, he leads the human capital function, focusing on building a capable workforce, strengthening organisational performance and developing a people-centred culture that supports the Group’s long-term growth.

LEGAL OFFICER
Kareesma De Silva
Kareesma brings a strong foundation in law, corporate governance and commercial relationship management, supported by a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London and Masters in Corporate Law and Governance.
Her professional experience spans sponsorship sales, account management, contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement. By combining legal expertise with practical commercial understanding, she contributes to building strong business relationships, managing contractual obligations and supporting strategic partnerships. Her ability to navigate legal and commercial considerations enables her to support informed decision-making while safeguarding organisational interests.
At Bayu Sports Holding, Kareesma supports the Group’s legal and corporate affairs, with a focus on strengthening corporate governance, contractual management, regulatory compliance and business operations. She also contributes to stakeholder coordination and the development of commercial relationships that support the Group’s expanding sports and lifestyle ventures. Through her legal knowledge, business acumen and commitment to good governance, she plays an important role in supporting the organisation’s sustainable growth and long-term strategic objectives.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Githan Balasubramanian
Githan brings hands-on technical experience in facility maintenance, manufacturing operations, gas system management and production support. Equipped with Mechanical Engineering, he has practical expertise in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, process improvement and workplace safety.
Throughout his career, Githan has gained valuable experience in managing specialised gas systems, maintaining critical equipment and supporting production operations in technically demanding environments. His responsibilities have included ensuring equipment reliability, conducting preventive maintenance, resolving mechanical and operational issues, and maintaining compliance with established safety and quality standards. Through these experiences, he has developed a strong understanding of operational efficiency, risk prevention, resource management and the importance of maintaining safe and reliable working environments.
His practical approach to maintenance management emphasizes proactive planning, timely problem resolution and continuous improvement. By identifying potential equipment issues before they escalate, coordinating maintenance activities and implementing effective operational procedures, he contributes to minimizing downtime, improving facility performance and extending the lifespan of essential infrastructure and equipment.
At Bayu Sports Holding, Githan oversees maintenance operations, focusing on facility reliability, workplace safety, preventive maintenance and the efficient upkeep of the Group’s clubhouse and sports facilities. He plays an important role in ensuring that infrastructure, equipment and operational systems remain safe, functional and well-maintained to support daily activities and deliver a comfortable, seamless experience for members and visitors. Through his technical expertise, commitment to safety and dedication to operational excellence, he contributes to maintaining high facility standards and supporting the Group’s long-term operational efficiency and growth.
